Application Security is important these days, especially when your application is a Web-based application. In this video, I demonstrate how to Encrypt portions of your web.config with Visual Studio 2005 (ASP.NET 2.0). I show you how the .NET Framework provides a command to encrypt your AppSettings and ConnectionStrings (where your database connection string lives) and how your application will automatically read this newly encrypted file.
