I was talking with a partner/customer yesterday and he was asking me about the differences between Visual Studio Team System - Software Architect Edition and Visual Studio Team System - Software Developer Edition and why he would consider getting the Architect Version of Visual Studio Team System. I told him a bit about the Application Designer Tool, which from a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) perspective, is the best solution that Microsoft has to offer around SOA/Distributed System Design. During that conversation it became clear to me that this feature/version of Visual Studio Team System is not very well known to developers and Software Architects, so I wanted to blog about it and give the readers of my blog a couple of resources that would be short/easy reads about the feature and how to use it. Again, this feature is found in either Visual Studio Team System - Software Architect Edition or Visual Studio Team System - Team Suite Edition. (see the link below for the differences between the products)
