  I am not sure if I understand your question, but if it's "how would you do Workflow development for SharePoint in Visual Studio 2005." The answer is to download the SharePoint Workflow Extensions from www.microsoft.com/downloads and they will allow you to do workflow in SharePoint.

  How you going? Got a quick query as you seem to be the most workflowy / sharepointy guy out there.
  
  I am a bit stuck. I am about to start a big sharepoint workflow project using VS 2008, MOSS 2007 and a couple of WCF services I have written.
  
  I am currently setting up all my projects and putting little bits of "hello world" type code in to ensure all my intended plumbing will work before I go too far down the road and realise I can't do certain things.
  
  My current issue is this:
  
  I have a WCF service library that just returns a string of text.
  When I host this in a console app it works.
  when I host it in a Sequential Workflow Console app it works and I use the SendActivity in this instance
  
  When I host it in a Sharepoint Sequential workflow using the SendActivity I get the following error in my log file:
  
  System.InvalidOperationException: Could not find endpoint element with name 'MyEndPoint' and contract 'ServiceReference1.IService1' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this name could be found in the client element. at System.Workflow.Runtime.Hosting.ChannelManagerHelpers.CreateChannelFactory(String endpointName, Type contractType, IDictionary`2 codeEndpoints) at System.Workflow.Runtime.Hosting.ChannelManagerService.CreateTransientChannel(LogicalChannel logicalChannel) at System.Workflow.Runtime.Hosting.ChannelManagerService.Take(ActivityExecutionContext executionContext, Guid workflowId, LogicalChannel logicalChannel) at System.Workflow.Activiti...
  
  like I said, the service is the same code all the time it just wont work when hosted in a sharepoint sequential workflow.
  I have been googling for 3 hours and I can only find normal workflow examples and not sharepoint ones using the SendActivity.
  
  I was thinking that the WCF service part of things is not getting deployed to sharepoint.... maybe I need ot put some info about it in my workflow.xml file or my feature.xml file.
  
  Any help would be great as once I have this working I can go ahead and begin the project proper.

  I can honestly say that I have not tried to host a WCF 3.5 Service in a SharePoint Environment and I can't think, off of the top of my head, of anyone who has. Which is probablly why you can't find any information on the web.

  I am not sure what you are looking for in the way of "Workflow", so maybe this does/doesn't answer your question.
  
  I personally use Workflow as a core technology in my business logic/tier. In other words, I use Workflow as a Service, hosted by the ASP.NET Runtime to manage the flow of my business logic (versus pageflow).
  
  If you look on MSDN.com you can find articles that talk about hosting Workflows inside of ASP.NET.
  
  Again, I am not sure if that's the question you were asking, but I figured I would give it a shot.
