• # OK. Obvious question

  I'm sure this was the first thing you did, so tell us. Create a file, sync two machines, go off line, edit both files. What happens?
  
  Same question with deletion. Creating two files with the same name. Any other difficult situation you can think of.
  
  What if two people are editing a Word document at the same time?
  
  What if two people are using the same Access database at the same time? (They used Access in the video, so it's fair game.)
  
  I'm waiting on my registration. So spill!

  It's the same synch strategy that most file synch technologies employ, and that is "Last change wins." Meaning, that if two people create a file with the same name, or delete a file that another person is in, it will default to whichever user initiated the action first. For example, if User A has a file open and User B deletes the file, unless User A "Saves the file" again, the file will be gone when User A closes the file.
  
  In other words, in THIS VERSION OF THE BETA, there is no File Management features that deal with "Concurrency". It's the first Beta and I have no idea if/how this will be addressed in the future. The other tools that I used just prior to installing Mesh did the same thing (e.g., FolderShare (from Microsoft), and GoodSync (from Siber Systems, Inc.).
  
  It will be interesting to see how the tool/technology progresses in the future.
