If you are like me, you are doing all of your development within a Virtual Environment.  In my case, I am using the Freely Downloadable Virtual PC product, by Microsoft.  Well, if you are using Virtual PC as well, then you will be interested to know that Microsoft has just released Service Pack 1 for Virtual PC.

Here's what's new in Service Pack 1 (from the Release notes, found here):

This release of Virtual PC 2007 SP1 introduces support for the following:

• Windows Vista® with Service Pack 1 (SP1) Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise operating systems as a host operating system
• Windows Vista with SP1 Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise operating systems as a guest operating system
• Windows Server® 2008 Standard as a guest operating system
• Windows XP with SP3 as both a guest and host operating system

Here's the overview of the Service Pack:

Save time and money as Virtual PC allows you to maintain the compatibility of legacy and custom applications during migration to new operating systems and increases the efficiency of support, development, and training staffs.

With Microsoft® Virtual PC 2007, you can create and run one or more virtual machines, each with its own operating system, on a single computer. This provides you with the flexibility to use different operating systems on one physical computer.
