  Thank you for forwarding this information, however it only *partially* answers the long-term deployment strategies for development/production environments. What my company really needs is a long-term strategy for us to promote list items, pages, documents, content types, etc from our development environment to production.
  
  So far, I've yet to see any documentation online that helps answer this dillema, which really concerns me as it makes it seem as though this scenario isn't possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is YOUR fault...in fact, I greatly appreciate all the assistance you give to us struggling MOSS developers. If you happen to know of a strategy for doing this, though, I would REALLY love to find out once and for all how I should be approaching this problem.

  Given the fact that you are writing in October 2008, isn't it a bit odd that you are pointing people at a piece on moving lists **in WSS 2.0 / SPS 2003** ?
